Jeff's Story:

Pernfmon.exe spreads by e-mail and via open network shares.
Related files:

Adds the value:
"Performance Monitor" = "C:\WINNT\System32\pernfmon.exe"
to the Windows startup registry keys.
Removal:
Kill pernfmon.exe process and remove pernfmon.exe from Windows startup.
